Frequently Asked Questions
The $595 fee is a one-time charge for our service of searching and selecting qualified general virtual assistants. This covers the process of identifying, evaluating, and presenting candidates that match your general virtual assistance needs. It is not the salary of the virtual assistant; it's the cost for our service to find the ideal candidate for you.
No, the cost varies depending on the service requested. While we offer a one-time fee of $599 for general virtual assistants, specialized virtual assistant services in fields like accounting, digital marketing, or human resources involve additional costs. This due to the specialized skills and deeper expertise required.
For specialized virtual assistants, the cost is based on a percentage of the first annual salary of the hired assistant, typically 20%, with an initial deposit of $500 required to start the recruitment process. This deposit is deducted from the total fee upon hire. The higher fee for specialized services reflects not only the advanced knowledge and expertise these professionals bring but also the additional time and effort required to find the perfect match for your specialized needs.

No. The scope of our services are limited to recruiting and placing your candidate and the client is responsible for training the selected candidate based on the client’s requirements. However, Outsourced Manpower offers job training to upskill your candidate at an additional cost.
We perform multiple assessments early in the selection and screening process to determine the candidate's written and oral proficiency in English. The key to better working relationships and increased productivity is regular communication. You can choose between your preferred method of communication with your Virtual Assistant such as regular video calls (e.g. Gmeet, Zoom), chat (e.g. Slack, WhatsApp), email, phone calls, text, or audio recorded instructions.
It is highly recommended that you communicate with your Virtual Assistant online using platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and others. If you assign your Virtual Assistant phone-related responsibilities, you may choose to purchase a plan for a cloud-based phone system such as Line2, RingCentral, 8X8, or a similar platform, which will enable your Virtual Assistant to make calls using a computer.
If your company has IT support or a dedicated IT department, have them conduct regular security testing on any suspicious activity on your network. Also, adjust access levels and security settings based on the information required for your Virtual Assistant to perform their work. For instance, aim to provide only the credentials necessary for your Virtual Assistant to perform their tasks. It is recommended that you provide personal and financial information such as credit card information on a need to know basis after a period of trust has been established.
We recruit candidates based on our client’s requirements. As such, we select and screen potential candidates based on your preferred work schedule. If the candidate requests a work schedule outside of your desired business hours, we will note that in the candidate profile presented to you; however, the agreed upon work schedule may vary depending on your final agreement with the candidate.
Outsourced Manpower has a salary/compensation benchmarking guide to help clients make an informed decision prior to extending an offer to a candidate. Download our Hiring Guide to learn more about Virtual Assistant compensation.
Virtual Assistants are typically paid on an hourly basis, though clients may consider offering a fixed monthly pay based on the client’s requirements for work experience, skill set, job description, required days, and work hours. Common payment portals our clients use are Paypal, Wise, and Veem.
While your Virtual Assistant will work during the agreed upon work schedule, should urgent tasks or deadlines arise, you should inform your Virtual Assistant of your company’s policies and procedures for working outside normal business hours such as if pre-approval is required. We suggest that this topic be covered during the onboarding process.
Setting expectations upfront with a candidate is essential to having a potential long-term Virtual Assistant. Although some candidates prefer to work full-time, others may be searching for a part-time opportunity in order to work with multiple clients. As such, in order for our recruiting firm coordinators to inform candidates early on in the selection and screening process to set expectations, it is important to let our coordinators know whether this is a position that can expand from a part-time to full-time role. Potential schedules can vary from full-time (Monday through Friday), to part-time with set hours and days, or on a project to project basis.
